Amanda Overstreet case : 16-year-old girl body Found in a freezer after 2005

The Mesa County Sheriff’s Office identified Amanda Overstreet as the victim, whose head and hands were discovered in a freezer in January. She has been missing since 2005.

In January, the Mesa County Sheriff’s Office was contacted when new homeowners held a garage sale to dispose of goods left behind by former owners and discovered a strange item.

“Upon arrival,” the sheriff’s department claimed in an Oct. 11 statement, “deputies found the head and hands of a human had been discovered in a freezer by someone who arrived to claim the free appliance offered by the new owner of the recently sold home.”

The coroner’s office identified the death as Amanda Overstreet, the biological daughter of the previous owner of the residence, according to the sheriff’s department.

“Amanda Overstreet is believed to have been approximately 16 years old at the time of her disappearance,” according to law enforcement. “Overstreet has not been seen or heard from since April 2005.”

However, the department stated that the teen was never reported missing.

Amanda Overstreet mother Stated

According to Wendy Likes, a Mesa County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman, Amanda’s mother, Leanne Overstreet Imer, and her late husband, Bradley Imer, were the previous homeowners. No arrests have been made in this case.

According to the E! News spokeswoman, Leanne continues to live in Grand Junction, Colorado, which is located in Mesa County.

After Amanda’s remains were discovered in January, neighbour Sam Troester provided insight into how the neighbourhood reacted to the devastating news. Troester said she found out about the situation after allowing the freezer’s potential new owners to use her restroom that day.

“I allowed them in, and hesitantly I asked, ‘What’s going on?'” Sam told the local station 9 News. “They went on to say that when they opened the freezer to transfer it, a head dropped out. A human’s head!”

Following the positive identification, the investigation is still ongoing.
