Popular Bollywood actress and beloved model Shefali Jariwala passed away at the age of 42 after suffering a cardiac arrest on Thursday evening at Bellevue Multispecialty Hospital in Mumbai.

Jariwala rose to prominence at the turn of the millennium with her memorable performance in the hit 2002 music video Kaanta Laga, directed by DJ Doll, which transformed her into an overnight icon.
She later went on to star in Hindi films such as Mujhse Shaadi Karogi and Hudugaru, with her most recent appearance being in the 2024 series Shaitani Rasmein.

She is also widely known for her participation in the thirteenth season of Bigg Boss, the Indian version of Big Brother, where she gained immense popularity.
Jariwala was active on social media, with over 3.4 million followers on Instagram.

Her last public appearance was on June 24, when she posted a photo of herself in an elegant silver dress, looking radiant as ever…unbeknownst to her followers, she was saying a silent farewell.
