Final Destination: Bloodlines Hits $5.5M in U.S. Box office

Warner is reporting $5.5 million in previews for New Line’s Final Destination: Bloodlines, which is significantly higher than what we expected.

That exceeds Sinners’ $4.7 million. It’s also $100,000 higher than the previews for Conjuring spinoff The Nun, which opened with $22 million on Friday and $53 million over three days.

Wowza, Warners. Very strong PostTrak departures from the fan crowd yesterday night, with 4 stars and 69% sure recommend, including 60% men.

Nobody is going to rush up to Lionsgate/Live Nation’s Hurry Up Tomorrow, which has a 1/2 star rating and a 34% definitely recommend. Thursday previews were $350,000, but when combined with early access fan events worth $1.3 million, the overall previews was $1.65 million.

Again, the entire film is part of The Weeknd’s three-point media blitz timed to coincide with the start of his North American After Hours Til Dawn Tour (which is expected to be the year’s highest-grossing concert tour in the United States, grossing $400 million), as well as his album, which dropped at the beginning and features much of the music from the film.
