Secretary of Education Linda McMahon delivered a sternly worded letter to Harvard University President Alan Garber on Monday, slamming the Ivy League institution’s handling of campus antisemitism and accusing it of persistent leadership and policy failings.
In the letter, McMahon accused Harvard of encouraging race-based advantages in admissions and hiring. She also recommended the university to stop seeking federal funds.
She had penned, “Receiving such taxpayer funds is a privilege, not a right,” However, Harvard has developed a systematic practice of breaking federal law rather than utilizing these monies to advance its students’ education.
Where do many of these’ students’ come from, who are they, and how do they get into Harvard, let alone our country, and why is there so much HATE?
These are concerns that must be answered, among many others, but the most important question is why Harvard will not provide simple answers to the American public.
McMahon told you: “Given these and other concerning allegations, this letter is to inform you that Harvard should no longer seek GRANTS from the federal government, since none will be provided.”
Harvard Replied
Harvard University confirmed to The wall Street News Digital that they got a letter from the administration on Monday.
“Today, we received another letter from the administration doubling down on demands that would impose unprecedented and improper control over Harvard University and would have chilling implications for higher education,
“Today’s letter contains additional threats to illegally withhold funds for crucial research and innovation in retaliation for Harvard’s lawsuit filed on April 21.
The statement went on to say, “Harvard will continue to follow the law, promote and encourage respect for viewpoint diversity, and combat antisemitism in our community.”
Harvard will also continue to fight against illegal government overreach aimed at impeding research and innovation that will make Americans safer and more secure.
Linda McMahon Analyzing the Backlash Over Her Harvard Letter
Meanwhile, social media users pointed out that McMahon’s letter lacks “academic rigor.” “Haha, you misspelled largesse,” one X user wrote, while another added,
“This reads like it was written by a middle school vice principal.” Grok said that the letter had a “disrupted flow” with numerous passages that were “hard to follow” and “awkward.”
